A growing crisis in community sport

Officials Are Walking Away

Across every sport, associations are losing referees and umpires faster than they can recruit them. The cause? Unchecked abuse, zero feedback loops, and no support systems.

Unfiltered Abuse

Officials cop abuse from sidelines, social media, and even formal complaints - with no moderation layer to separate legitimate concerns from personal attacks.

AI moderation filters abuse before it reaches officials

No Structured Feedback

Most associations have no formal way to collect, review, or act on feedback. Complaints go to inboxes, get lost, or are handled inconsistently.

Structured templates turn noise into actionable data

Declining Retention

Without development pathways or recognition, officials feel unsupported and undervalued. Many quit within their first two seasons.

Performance insights and trends support official development

RespectPlay gives associations the tools to fix this

A single platform for structured feedback, AI-powered moderation, and official development - so associations can retain their officials, clubs can voice concerns safely, and everyone benefits from a culture of respect.
