1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RespectPlay, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms specific to your sporting association. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

RespectPlay is a multi-tenant feedback and management platform for sporting officials, associations, and participants. Our services include:

• Structured feedback submission and moderation
• AI-powered content moderation and sanitization
• Game and assignment management
• Rules library and AI assistant
• Reporting and analytics
• Mobile and web applications

3. User Accounts & Eligibility

3.1 Account Creation

To use RespectPlay, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Be associated with a registered sporting association
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• All activity that occurs under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up-to-date

4. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

When using RespectPlay, you agree to:

• Be constructive: Provide feedback that is honest, specific, and focused on improvement
• Be professional: Avoid profanity, personal attacks, and inflammatory language
• Be fair: Provide accurate information and avoid exaggeration or misrepresentation
• Be respectful: Treat all users—officials, team managers, administrators—with dignity

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

You may NOT:

• Submit abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory content
• Post false, misleading, or defamatory information
• Use the platform to intimidate, bully, or retaliate against others
• Attempt to circumvent AI moderation or content filters
• Share login credentials or access others' accounts without authorization
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Scrape, data mine, or extract data without permission
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose

5. Content Moderation

5.1 AI Moderation

All user-submitted feedback is automatically processed through our AI moderation system:

• Content is analyzed for inappropriate language, abuse, and professionalism
• Problematic content may be sanitized, flagged, or rejected
• Both original and sanitized versions are stored for transparency and accountability

5.2 Human Review

Association administrators may:

• Review flagged content before it is shared
• Approve, reject, or escalate feedback submissions
• Access original, unmoderated content for legitimate administrative purposes (with audit logging)
• Take disciplinary action against users who violate these terms

5.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that:

• Violates these Terms of Service
• Violates applicable laws or regulations
• Poses a safety or security risk
• Is flagged as abusive by our moderation system

6. Feedback & Appeals

6.1 Feedback Submission

When you submit feedback:

• You grant RespectPlay a license to process, moderate, and share your feedback within your association
• You acknowledge that your feedback may be sanitized by AI moderation
• You understand that administrators may review and respond to your feedback
• You agree to submit feedback within the designated time window (typically 24-72 hours post-game)

6.2 Appeals Process

If you believe feedback about you is inaccurate or unfair, you may submit an appeal through the platform. Your association's administrators will review and respond to appeals according to their policies.

7. Privacy & Data Usage

Your use of RespectPlay is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points include:

• Data is isolated by association (multi-tenancy)
• Access to raw feedback is restricted and logged
• Identity masking and privacy controls are available per association settings
• We implement industry-standard security measures

8. Association-Specific Terms

Your sporting association may have additional terms, policies, or rules that govern your use of RespectPlay. These association-specific terms supplement (and may override) these general Terms of Service. You are responsible for understanding and complying with your association's policies.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Platform Ownership

RespectPlay and all associated trademarks, logos, software, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without our written permission.

9.2 User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. However, by submitting content to RespectPlay, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store, process, and moderate your content
• Share your content within your association according to platform permissions
• Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our services

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

RespectPlay is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or reliability of AI moderation
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights

While we strive to provide accurate and reliable moderation, our AI system is not perfect. Users and administrators should exercise judgment when reviewing moderated content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RespectPlay and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data loss
• User-generated content or actions taken by association administrators

Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the amount you paid to use RespectPlay in the past 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid anything).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RespectPlay from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms of Service
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Content you submit to the platform

13. Account Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may close your account at any time by contacting your association administrator or us directly.

13.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in abusive or harmful behavior
• Your association terminates its agreement with RespectPlay
• Required by law or regulation

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will be revoked
• Your data may be retained according to our data retention policy and legal obligations
• Feedback you've submitted or received may remain accessible to your association for record-keeping

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or through a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of RespectPlay after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
